THE EAST OF ENGLAND FAITHS AGENCY

INTRODUCTION

The East of England Faiths Agency (EEFA) was founded in 2001 and registered as a Community Interest Company in January 2007. It is managed by a Board of Directors and supported by a team of advisers from different faiths across the region. It has grass-roots contacts with Baha’is, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Humanists, Jains, Jews, Muslims, Pagans, Sikhs, Taoists and Zoroastrians.

We seek to promote respect and understanding between faith and interfaith groups and the wider community. We offer a consultancy service, provide speakers and diversity training, organise conferences and arrange for faith visitors to schools and for groups to visit places of worship.  We supply resources including “A Handbook of Faiths”, Sharing our Stories” and the “Diversity Game”

In our Multifaith Centre in Ipswich at 47 St. Helen’s St. IP4 2JL we have an inter-faith and theological library and can offer a meeting space and hospitality to people of all faiths and none. We run short courses and seminars and support research exploring issues of spirituality and faith.  Individuals and groups are welcome to visit by appointment but we do not currently function as a drop in centre.
