TRAINING FOR THE STATUTORY
AND VOLUNTARY SECTORS

The East of England Region has been for some time a multicultural, multi-faith society and its diversity continues to be enhanced by the arrival of Refugees and Asylum Seekers from all around the world.

Our community has people who are Baha'is, Buddhists, Christians, Humanists, Hindus, Jains, Jews, Muslims, Pagans, Sikhs, Taoists and Zoroastrians.  These groups are not homogenous; and may include a range of different religious and cultural traditions

SPEAKERS, TUTORS AND TRAINERS

EEFA has a register of experienced tutors.  Each tutor is a practising member of his/her faith and is comfortable speaking about their faith and describing what it is like to live it out in modern multicultural / multi-faith England.  We can arrange for one or more of these tutors to visit your organisation to speak about their faith and culture.  We can arrange for tutors from different faiths to run workshops.  We can also arrange for a team of tutors to run a day-long themed workshop on such topics as Rites of Passage, Marriage, Work, Money, Death, and Sex.  One of our workshops, 'Breaking Barriers'; challenges stereotypes and preconceptions and can include speakers on Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, refugees and asylum seekers and the travelling community.  We are always happy to work with organisations in planning special days on faith /culture / lifestyle topics.

VISITS TO PLACES OF WORSHIP

We can arrange guided visits to places of worship in Ipswich Norwich, Cambridge and Colchester or further afield.

Please Note:

Places of worship prefer not to take parties of more than 30 at a time.  We can arrange consecutive visits to take place for larger parties.

Ipswich Bond Street Mosque prefers visits to be timed to start at 1:00pm in order that visitors might experience a Muslim Community at prayer.
